JBL CWT er en ny installasjonsserie med et revolusjonerende design. CWT128 har dual 8” basselementer og to vinklede horn ”vegg-i-vegg”, for jevn horisontal spredning over 160 grader. Enkelt forklart gjør den jobben til to høyttalere - plasseffektivt, kostnadseffektivt og uten bivirkninger som ujevnt nivå og kamfiltring. CWT128 kommer i sort og hvitt, og kan også bestilles som værbestandig.

A Wide Range of Applications

The CWT128 is specifically designed to work in a variety of performance spaces including performing arts facilities, houses of worship, auditoriums, lecture halls, and conference facilities. For larger, public spaces, applications include transportation facilities, theme parks, and sports facilities. With its superb, high fidelity sound and driver complement, it is also well suited for cinema use where multiple surround cabinets are required.

Rugged Cabinet Fitted with Flexible Hardware

The rugged multi-ply hardwood enclosure is designed with multiple mounting options and finished in JBL’s textured DuraFlex™ finish. The steel grille is finished with a heavy duty powder coating for durability and includes an acoustically transparent foam backing. The slightly cylindrical body contour of the cabinet provides an elegant sophistication that blends well with contemporary architectural spaces.

Ease of Installation

The CWT128 is easy to install with 4 M10 attachment points built in across the top and sides.
In addition, 4 M8 points on the back panel accept OmniMount® wall mounting brackets. The CWT128 replaces two or more cabinets with one cabinet in typical applications, reducing setup time, cable runs and hardware.

Optional Finishes

The CWT128 is available in white - WH. WRC and WRX weather resistant versions are available upon request.

THE RISE OF THE MOTION PICTURE SOUND BUSINESS

In the late twenties, the success of "The Jazz Singer" established sound as the new standard for the motion picture theater.
Western Electric, the manufacturing arm of AT&T, was destined to rule that business for many years. The vast resources of
Bell Laboratories had been brought to bear on problems of recording, reproducing, and allied arts, and as a result they were
able to mount the required technology for manufacturing in fairly short order. Electrical Research Products Incorporated (ERPI)
was set up as a distribution company by Western Electric as a means of servicing the motion picture industry.

Bill Martin came out to join his brother in 1930, and another brother, George, came at a later date. In 1930 there were no more
than 40 employees at the Lansing Manufacturing Company. Some of the early products included armature loudspeakers, which
are known today only as museum curiosities. Other loudspeaker products made use of traditional field coils as well as early
permanent magnets.

This was truly a cottage industry. The family would make cones and wind coils at home in the evening, and the parts would be taken
in to be assembled the next day. The company experienced hard times during these years of the depression. Most of Lansing's
customers were radio set manufacturers, many of them located in the Midwest. The company's products were largely eight- and
six-inch loudspeakers. What few larger models were made were used only in luxury console radios. The company established its
permanent headquarters at 6900 McKinley Avenue in
South Los Angeles.
