Weighing in at just 10.3kgs (22.7lbs) the Studio 12 is engineered from the ground up to be astonishingly lightweight and portable whilst still delivering the heavyweight tone and versatility the world has come to expect from an Ashdown bass amplifier.

The incredibly stylish Studio 12 delivers 100 watts of premium Ashdown tone through a Custom designed lightweight 12" speaker. Potent yet portable the Studio 12 comes bursting with great features including built in valve emulated overdrive, headphone out, 5 band EQ, Line In and more. 

A super lightweight, loud and versatile combo suitable for practice, rehearsals and small gigs.

Heavy duty tolex and chrome metal corners will keep the Studio 12 protected and looking stylish for years to come.

The Studio 12 has everything you need to establish great tone straight out of the box, with the EQ set at 12 O’clock the NEW Studio Range sounds as you would expect from an Ashdown, warm yet articulate.

Constructed using super lightweight poplar ply and a lightweight 12" speaker the Studio 12 really does cut the weight but not the tone.

Better Bass Since '97

The Ashdown story starts in 1997, but even in those early days, company founder Mark Gooday could've already easily been described as a bass amp veteran. Having already been one of the driving forces behind another leading UK manufacturer of bass amplification, Gooday had racked up awards and plaudits for his pioneering approach and now had his sights set on even loftier aspirations.

So, it's 1997, and armed with a wealth of experience and headful of new ideas, Gooday kickstarts Ashdown Engineering to life with a simple vision – to build and 'engineer' a better bass amp.

With a nous for innovation and a flair for design, many would've jumped straight in, but Gooday was smart enough to first court feedback from some of the world's most respected bass players, including John Entwistle (The Who), Mark King (Level 42) and JJ Burnel (The Stranglers).

Inspired by the comments from these trusted advisors, Gooday focused his efforts on designing a new kind of bass amp, where superior tone was matched by unrivalled power and tour-grade performance in a truly engineered, uniquely-styled package.
