The heart of the pedal is still the same essential filter sections, which splits your signal into different loops with HIGH PASS and LOW PASS paths (both filters have a 12 dB/oct. roll-off with a variable cut-off frequency from 20 Hz to 3 kHz). The rest of the vital tonal organs have had a thorough upgrade, which has resulted in an improved noise floor too. So, let’s dive into everything that makes this pedal DELUXE. Since the original TYLER was also used as an advanced AB/Y box by many, it was found that ground loops could occur - no more with TYLER DELUXE! Both SENDs are now transformer coupled (with TRIAD Magnetics) to give you a nice and warm saturation, while avoiding ground-loops (internal slide-switched ground-lift). To be prepared for almost every situation and every pedal, both loops also got their own phase inversion switch (+/-) to get rid of potential unwanted phase cancelation. The next new must-have feature is there to ensure the transparency of your setup and because we know it's important to you and to us, we added the good old CLEAN blend.  So far so good, but the deluxe delights don’t stop here! A master phase-switch ensures a fixed and reliable interaction with your set filter-frequency in every situation, no matter if you either have a loop engaged or not. But wait, for all of you who wants to follow TYLER's evolution, we added another claimed feature. The LP-CUT and HP-CUT switches will now mute your loops when bypassed, which will give you tons of new options to be creative, by only using the engaged loops without having clean artefacts pass through when disengaging one of the loops.  Modern times brings modern needs, so TYLER DELUXE is now equipped with relay-based soft-switches, an internal step-up to increase the headroom for hotter input signals and low-noise op-amps to improve the overall sound-quality and usability.  Some fun examples of use: Bass players want to retain their low end while using their favourite fuzz or dirt pedal. Insert your dirt box in the high-pass FX-Loop and adjust the cut-off frequency of the High and Low Pass to your needs. The FILTER section is also very useful for tailoring the upper octave effect to different instruments and pickups, where getting the right tone is not a “one size fits all” equation.  In addition, to enable the octave voicing in MANDRAKE to be sculpted exactly to your own personal taste, the TIMBRE control defines the amount of fuzzy gain present in the upper octave. This allows you to perfectly blend in the pedal’s tonality with the rest of your signal chain. Turning the control fully counterclockwise, gives a slightly crunchy and percussive tone that’s ideal for melodic arpeggio enhancements. While many regular tones can (and should) be mono, we at KMA love stereo effects (we actually have quite a few of our own in development right now), but why is it so hard to use them either at home or on the stage? Without the luxury of 2 amps (plus the ability to turn them up if you have them) or for owners of cab/amp simulators that are usually mono input by design, monitoring stereo effects properly can end up being so difficult that many just end up running their stereo effects in mono and therefore lose many of their spatial creativity nuances. Doubling guitars in recording is also a common practice in a variety of musical styles. In many cases, a single guitarist will record the same track twice with each separate recording being spread to the left and right channels. The effect of this is unmistakable to the ear and the slight differences and nuances between the two separate performances complement each other to create a noticeable thickness, density and weight to the musical experience. However, it also shines as a genuine tube overdrive pedal when connected to the front of your amplifier, or when running it as the tone-defining preamp section of your setup, directly into your power amp. It can also do both of these things simultaneously. QUAD CHANNEL TUBE PREAMP AND DRIVE This preamp pedal has two completely independent channels, each featuring a four-band EQ, two different Gain/Volume sections, three selectable gain-stages and three selectable cabinet simulations, plus a serial mono effects-loop for your external effects, MIDI in and free access to Tsakalis Audioworks’ full free online library of carefully selected and curated digital cabinet simulations. The MOTHERSHIP’s two independent channels were carefully designed with a real tube audio path, providing a huge range of tones from warm or sparkling cleans all the way to high gain tube driven distortion. The two ECC83 (12AX7) tubes, run at a comfortable 240 Volts, providing touch sensitivity, headroom and plenty of gain and tube sag as required.   Each channel features a four band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble and Presence) and two different Gain and Volume controls (Gain A-Volume A / Gain B-Volume B) transforming the MOTHERSHIP into a quad channel powerhouse. The dedicated MODE switch for each channel is responsible for the tube audio path structure, giving 3 different gain modes L = Low, M = Mid and H = High, allowing you to easily customize completely different lead and rhythm tones with different gain structures as well as a solo volume boost for each and access them on-the-fly by simply pressing the relevant footswitch. SUPREME DIGITAL CABINET SIMULATION Each channel’s dedicated CAB switch provides 3 different user-definable cabinet simulations. Select from the wide range of curated, free and most importantly supreme-quality cabinet simulations available in the online Tsakalis AudioWorks library and upload them to the MOTHERSHIP via USB using the TAW Editor app (available for PC, Mac and Linux). STATE-OF-THE-ART CONTROL AND CONNECTIVITY All three of the MOTHERSHIP’s footswitches can be used in latching or momentary mode, simply by either tapping or holding them down longer. Latching mode works with a normal press of the switch (shorter than 600ms), while Momentary mode is engaged by simply holding down the footswitch for the longer period of time required. But that’s not all! The MOTHERSHIP is also capable of being controlled via MIDI program change messages using its dedicated MIDI Input. With 128 presets at your disposal, along with an intuitive and simple method for saving and recalling them, the MOTHERSHIP is set to become an indispensable centrepiece for the modern guitar setup.
